Black Belt Program
The accelerated black belt programme is designed for those students who wish to receive extra tuition and guidance in reaching their black belt grade and perhaps go onto becoming certified instructors with The British Academy of Krav Maga.
Membership of the black belt programme entitles the student to train for an extra 2 hour per week at our St Johns Wood venue (on top of the normal membership benefits) every Friday 6.30pm – 8.30pm (and at other times decided by BAKM) with other BB programme students under the direction of a senior ranked instructor.

- More intense & individualised attention (almost like 1 on 1 training)
- Greater chance of achieving grade due to extra training
- A better understanding & thereby assimilation of techniques
- The opportunity to become a certified BAKM instructor
How to get started
Getting started is simple. Just sign up to the trial class or online straight away and inform the instructor on your first day of training that you would like to be or have enrolled on the black belt programme. You will then be asked by the instructor to fill in relevant forms and your name will be added to the black belt program register entitling you to attend the black belt class & all other classes listed in your membership.
We will then observe you for your first month and if we are happy with your ability / progress we will keep you in the black belt group and we look forward to accelerating your training and progression within our club. If not, we will simply change you membership and advice you to train more before trying for the black belt group again.
Introduction to belt grading system
Krav Maga classes are split into several different levels which for the most part are indicative of the grade which a student is training for.
